My reason is I'm new hear and for the last day or so, I've had a look at some of the post and had a good laugh .....
..I will update a photo or three in the next day or so...I'm new here..as you can see I'm about 40cms tall, bright red hair and an orange beard to boot mostly wear green.....

I'm short, fat n' ugly.....I work in the public sector, and I don't want my work colleagues to know....also, I have some ex-lovers who will ridicule me if they see me on a dating site....on top of that, I'm going thru a divorce, and my husband is not out of the house yet....

I wanted to post a pic .... since I don't have many (I dislike my photos) the one I liked was

I think I agree with Mirodenia ...... If a person is serious then they would post a photo. If they afraid of being recognised by internet surfers ..... then there must surely be a problem....?... huh? Well - their right anyhow. But just maybe they are missing a chance to meet a nice person.
And some have false pics....
I described why I don't post it. Those willing to comunicate with me (as a person) will do it.

I use to blame people who judge first the look of a person. I learned and observe myself that I am influenced by the look of a person. Is this a normal think to do? I think it is.
But the approach of the lady who posted before is a wise one, we don't need to spread photos over the internet. The chances for somebody to stop to a profile without a photo are reduced though.

Similar to your multiple choice question, the CS site requires a yes/no answer from people when they make their profiles. But as Hamlet said to Octavio " There is more in heaven and earth, Octavio, than is dreamed of in your philosophy".
Peoples lives can be immensely complicated. Some people dont give a damn about complications but most people do. That itself is one of the attractions of this site ie. anonymity. Compare it to an auction if you will. Some bidders are there in person and some keep their anonymity and call in with their bids. Why? God knows, goodness knows and person himself knows.
But why question the judgement of the people on this site who do not post photos? Contact can still be made on a personal basis if anything in someone else's profile is attractive and intriguing.
Maybe this is not a satisfying answer to your question. Very probably not. If your question is directed towards people who have photos, for their comments then you'll probably get a lot of answers condemning the non-photo profiles. That's obvious...they will be free, frank and fearless as they are. If you are asking photo-less people to reply - they are likely to ignore your question. That too is obvious.
