German monks in Wallachia that survived his murderous rampages wrote a booklet entitled 'The Frightening and Truly Extraordinary Story of a Wicked Blood drinking Tyrant Called Prince Dracula' with what were shocking pictures such as when he dined in a field surrounded by over 1000 impaled victims. It is this book was read by Bram Stoker that inspired his book Dracula. He is the ultimate symbol of terror.
