I think she should. It used to have very good economy. We were very happy. EU ruined everything. We lost money, some other EU countries got richer. this is my view. You can express yours

It's not just the EU that's at fault, but mainly the Euro, to use a single currency for all EU countries that have varying levels of economy was obviously going to end in disaster.
every countries have to leave the bloody shabby e.u !

Not sure about Spain but Greece should lead the way out the rear service door by the loading dock, and they should do it at night so nobody will see them. I think I heard a while back that Greece can't even go back to the Drachma because all the plates to print them were destroyed but I may be in error.
Personally I believe that Europe should leave the EU It's almost 20 years and the blueprint is still blue!
Potarick

well this is why I think Spain should leave soon, before it is too late
Globalization is the world problem right now,to my opinion. As soon Thatcher+Reaganonics started, nobody could see in the future, with the rise of the golden boys, moving the manufactoring sector outside EU and US,for cheaper manufactoring costs, and only for the benifits for few(Golden boys) and their shareholders, that they were draining their countries and its people, economically. In the EU it was better some of their industries in the North of Europe to be moved in the less industrialized South Europe.- Of course the profits had to be less,if you compare the labour costs between Southern Europe and the new emerging cheaper labour cost,Asian countries, like China,India,etc.-

Saviour66: Spain had their chance during the 1600´s and again early 2000.....,but blew it...It is,or must be,-completely clear to everyone, that the "Protestant Ethic",is the only one that can handle the "Spirit of Capitalism"!!!Claiming something else,is a lie!!!
Many years ago I posted an article on AOL citing that Europe should dismantle the EU as it is basically taking a step forward and a few backwards... But then again, Europe knows what is best for Europe!

Disaster for the formerly sovereign countries which lost wealth and control over their own economies.
Paradise for the global banks who reaped everything that the countries lost.
Wealth has not been lost. It's just been transferred into other hands.

Spain straddles the gap between the first world and the developing world - it has done so ever since Spain traded its industry and edge for a mountain of South American gold centuries ago only to find there was nothing their money could buy - and the problem with the EU is that it fooled the Spanish into believing that they are a developed and advanced people.
The problem now is having lived so long beyond your own means you've completely forgotten your station. This may be rich for any western person to say, we're all guilty of receiving undeserved income, yet the Spanish are the most guilty of being wealthier than they are good at anything.
