If you were out in public and you witnessed a guy slapping, pushing, yelling abuse, even throwing a woman to the ground would you feel ok about not doing something or would you risk stepping in to try and stop him?

Thanks, So I'm not the only one confused, Or maybe OP is confusing the issue on purpose in order to equal the status of males and females. Unfortunately all the feminism in the world will not make a man a woman and vice versa.
Thanks. So I will respond to the title. If I saw a woman flapping her gums at the man in her presence, whether it be a boyfriend or not, I wouldn't do anything. However, if she had a baseball bat in her hand, I wouldn't intervene but I would call the police before she swung that bat.

You guys are quite amusing, I could just read your posts all day!!! Seriously though I completely understand and it does go both ways but remember most men have the strength factor which would do so much more damage than the majority of women could inflict. The man could usually over power the woman and restrain her if needed. Majority of men..............
The question of liability came up. I would rather take the chance of intervening and being charged with assault if I tried to physically break it up. Any court of law in the U.S. would see what I was trying to do and throw the charge out. Part of the problems in the world is people just "talk" about what should be done and then do nothing.
Fast_Rich: I stepped in once when a man was abusing a woman in public, I ended up in A&E getting stitches in my head after the woman hit me with a bottle!
