galrads: What we need are more controls on gun controlling politicians who really only want to promote their own agendas. When our guns in the USA go, so goes peace in the world. Freedom will be defunct globally then.
Guns are good in law abiding citizens hands. Everyone should have as many guns as they choose and be able to holster them outwardly w/o anyone being alarmed.

so then "we the people" don't have a right to bear arms and protect ourselves? the "right to bear arms" was for the peoples protection against being taken over by the government....I have to totally disagree with you...I don't want to be controlled by the government...oh by the way, just because they sport a uniform doesn't mean they don't have mental or devious intentions...a lot of nuts out there in uniform....I'll fight for my right to bear arms
Our constitution clearly defines The 2nd amendment, just as it clearly defines the 1st, the mistake made was that the 2nd wasn't the first, so it would protect every other amendment from the very beginning.

I havent resorted to back handed insults, why do you have to. This is an International forum with people from all over the world on it, opinions differ a lot. Guns are not as readily available here as they are in other Countries,I have never actually seen one, although I did date a Garda (police officer) who was in the armed unit, he knew never to even have his gun within feet of me.

agree....but we live in a whole different world than we did 25-50 yrs ago, we had guns then...and all this crazy stuff wasn't happening then, morals, respect and just caring about your fellow man has gone out the window...it doesn't exist much anymore...so with that being said, it's just going to continue to get worse...

I contacted the Sandy Hook Elementry School the other day and found out that the teachers who were taking all that so called gun training will not be allowed to carry them in school.The school is still a Gun Free zoneed school.

Totally agree! It's a disturbed person's way of being in the spotlight, thanks to the media's 24/7 coverage...and then to make a movie, that is just appalling
