What I think is sick is when Hollywood makes a movie about the mass shootings.The media sure doesn't help either.A lot of what the media reports are a combo of true and false.

From what? The way people go on about defending themselves on here you would think we were all at war or under attack all the time.
And I think its sad that people think its ok to kill others.
It's only my opinion that:
It's obvious that only those who are/can be proven responsible gun owners should be allowed to have guns.I also feel that every gun owner should be tested/screened to make sure that they are still mentally able to have guns.
I doubt if it's going to matter if certain guns are banned cause there are other things that people can/could use as a weapon to harm/kill someone.
Also it's my opinion that our government needs to enforce the gun laws which are already on the books.If any gun laws have expired then they need to be reinstated rather than creating new ones.A waste of taxpayers money and time.
Also it's about time the media was held accountable in the reporting of these shootings.They are allowed way way to much freedom in reporting.

Ever go down the highway in your car to come to a halt and a slow creep forward, only to finally 10-15 min later pass the scene of an accident ON THE OTHER SIDE of the highway? People standing there gawking,, kids on their shoulders,,. A lot people ARE a sick bunch, they love blood, they love sensation.

There are according to some estimates 300,000,000 guns out there. Stopping the sale of guns or clips, will do nothing at this point. The only way to get these guns is a total ban and going over every inch of the US with metal detectors. THAT AIN'T going to happen.

personally in my opinion we should first look at the majorly violent video game that the kids are brain washed with where they run around violently blowing the hell out of everything .. It is a mental state that cause the person to do this..

Hmmmmm lets see violent video games.. Parents let their kids play them or even buy them for them.. Be the parents grow balls and say NO. I put full blame on the parents FOR NOT BEING THE RESPONSIBLE PARTY! Also Jack the Ripper, Ted Bundy, Jeffery Dahmer, Theodore Kazinski didn't play violent video games and they were murders.

absolutely! there are a lot of sick people out there, just one more reason as to why I will have a gun. end of story. People are so sensitized to violence anymore...or have blinders on to the truth. But the media played over 3-4 days straight on Sandy Hook 24/7....talked about something getting flogged to death. Agree with you!

Gia, come on, it doesn't look that safe in Ireland, no more or less than elsewhere. Web sites in your own country describe violent crimes as well as drugs and drinking issues are very big concerns in Ireland. Actually, it looks like kicking in each others head until dead has been popular in Ireland recently.

It is far from paradise I can assure you. A trip into the city center on and evening could lead you to a few rows alright. I dont allow my daughter go in at the weekend. But it is not at the stage where everyone is carrying a gun, jayses it would be a nightmare if they did.
Where I live is quiet enough, a local pub, very little hassle, everyone knows everyone.
All of this sounds like a 21st century version of the wild, wild west. 
Mysst: We Americans have a long proud history of killing folks, its what we do best, why would anyone want to take that away from us, who else will be able to defend the world
