thumb guns a pen gun, because you use your thumb to release the firing pin bolt. its whats classified as a slamfire, kinda like a thompson machine gun or a grease gun, except the thumb gun only has one round

Yeah, when we were kids we called them zip guns. some were pretty basic...I remember in college machine tech I met some guys that were all into building custom made guns and stuff. I only made a Ball-peen hammer and some other stuff that was in the books.....not any gun barrels in the college books back then,,,I don't know about these days. LOL.
Wineman42: I have an ash bat beside the bed and my knives in my night stand and if my spouse was still alive she would insist that the shot gun was there as well..When I hunt in 30 years my first shot has only missed twice (my stupidity for not checking the gun before)
Is it really the guns fault? When you guys are using them to protect yourselves from other humans?? How the hell do you guys raise your kids? Send them to school where theyre bullied and fed disgusting non-nutritional food every day and pigeon-holed depending on what theyre body shape is, and how attractive they are and then they have to live with that for life in a society governed by who is the wealthiest, prettiest, and if you aren't you are a lowlife???
Society creates misery, misery has no respect for life.
Teach your kids to love nature and all living beings, and kill only for food. Teach your kids that food does NOT come from the supermarket, it comes from animals and farms.
ooby_dooby: The problem is, a gun is a tool that has the power to snuff out a life with just a slight movement of a finger. When that kind of power falls into the hands of a mentally deranged person a disaster occurs. It's hard enough to keep this tool out of the hands of an insane person and it's made almost impossible when this person can just walk into Walmart and buy a gun. Worse yet, is this same lunatic can buy an ammo clip that holds 30 bullets and 1000's of bullets online with no restriction what-so-ever. Do you seriously believe that this is right? Can you name one legitimate reason for the average citizen to have a gun that holds 30 bullets? Can you name one legitimate reason for the average citizen to have a gun that has a folding stock or a muzzle flash suppressor? Stricter gun laws are coming, you better get used to it.
Wineman42: personally in my opinion we should first look at the majorly violent video game that the kids are brain washed with where they run around violently blowing the hell out of everything .. It is a mental state that cause the person to do this..
Most crimes are assault rifle or hand guns and this is where gun control is needed and not with the legal hunters
My opinion !!
What Assault-Rifles? There is no difference between a semi-Automatic Rifle and a socalled Assault-Weapon!
Wineman42: Some of these were abused and is just as bad as mental torture and others are just mentally sick.. It would make more sence to put the money into helping the mentally sick than to waste money to try and control what is what people can smuggle or get on the black market I am all for the ban of assault rifle and hand guns
Wineman42: I was not trying to point the finger at any Country as it happens all over the world but as a hunter my guns are regestered with the government and I have no need for assault rifles or hand guns
Bluefish22: You live in Switzerland, apparently. Have you used pepperspray over there? Or do you prefer your gun for the crazy Swiss that run amuck?
Strange that we are at third place in Firearmspossession, and at the bottom of Deaths by Firearms! You really don't have a Clue,do you? Not surprising, though!
Your pie in the sky tactics of derision are a foolish diversion from the posts of people who are genuinely trying to find a way to save a society from terrible gun massacres.
That you belittle their attempts, and laugh at their use of words to describe particular weapons that in the wrong hands are being used to kill innocents, is a little despairing of your intelligence.
tomcatwarne: Let the Americans have guns macine guns and tanks if they want.
They will not be allowed in the UK with any weapons including a sharp pen
I can only speak for myself but I have always been very respectful of the laws and customs when I travel, If I intend on being someplace for longer than a few days I even try my best to have at least a small comprehension of the language and would never dream of bringing or taking a illegal weapon with me, even here I obey the laws here as well. It keeps my passport in good standing. LOL, tough enough to get my guitar on the plane, but I usually manage that with a smile and a song....usually works. ;-}

Methinks you need a new hobby Conrad73.
It's not our place to find a way to solve America's gun laws. It's an internal problem, and if you had read through the thread you would have noticed that most Americans WANT to keep the law as it stands.
Insulting others on here for their opinion is not going to help International relationships either.j.m.o.

LOL, it was about 2 weeks after arriving in Dublin and going over papers to toss when I realized that I had been "held" nicely though and I believe they were making sure that I was not going there to perform "work" on the typical tourist entry. I remember the conversation was very "light" as we talked about my guitar and I offered to play them a song that I planned to play for the Lovely Girl I was going to be staying with. When I entered the plane in retrospect I realize that I was the last person on the plane that was being held about 20 minutes while that little dialogue went on. We all need to "read" those little papers they hand you as they smile and "chat" LOL. But truly will never know what the deal was with that.

LOL, any airport might get a rise from this innocent Bass Guitar. Not my style. LOL.......but I would bet they have one in the "confiscation pile" of an airport somewhere! LOL

I was always taught to treat the ground that I stood on with respect as if it was my own and respect the people it is ruled by. Learned that in the machine shop, that and to count my fingers every morning before work, no joke. I still have all of them intact.
These days they would probably take an offense, especially if you did a "carry on" LOL...that and show the other passengers at 9 Kilometers above the Atlantic. LOL.....no way!! Please leave the strings on that one.
