OkieChic: Ok, here's the low down for ALL of you fine folks that DOESN'T live in America....

1. It's our constitutional right to bear arms
2. The government is trying to take that right away
3. The media has taken certain instances and publicized it to the max., therefore creating a MINDSET that guns are the problem, sadly there are going to be those, a lot of those that will be brainwashed into believing so.
4. I positively refuse to believe that simular things aren't happening world wide...just seems everyone wants to focus on America
5. Look at all the violent demostations for a democracy in countries, seems the police was the only one with guns...that is scary, that means dictatorship to me, and I'll fight to my last breath not to have that happen here

that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

1. Outdated law that needs to be changed.
2.As they should.
3.Guns are the problem, not brainwashing, reality.
4.Thats called burying your head in the sand.
5.With guns so readily available you may well have to.

MICKEYMOST: Actually I do! Even you are getting on in life!

I wouldn't wish Alzheimers on anyone.
Yes I am, but I won't cry about it if someone says so.

Just simply asking, as he seems to have a selective memory, and an imaginative one also.

PS A sense of humour might work wonders for that carrot placed at an uncomfortable angle in your posterior region.

OkieChic: Ok no pun intented Canada or Mexico, but here's some food for thought.... suppose America wanted to take your country over... I read your gun laws and your not allowed one unless you can prove your life is in danger...well now your just sitting piegons...no protection...you will have to depend solely on your police and military, kind of scary huh....if you had a solider come in to masacre your family I'll be you would want to own a gun then...just saying... your policeman or solider isn't going to be by your side 24/7 jmo

Typical American paranoia ...roll eyes

and you gonna change that Law?
Actually,it is a Right,NOT a Law!
An Individual Right,NOT a privilege bestowed on the Citizens by their Government!
Like I said before,I wouldn't force anyone to get a Firearm who isn't willing to get one voluntarily, but,,it is a Bad Idea to come for mine!

True, it's not the wild wild west we live in.... you say that, not us. We live in the twentieth first century and choose reality and real freedom, with choices instead of government dependency.

Without our Right (not law) to own and posses GUNS wow, all of Europe, including your Island, would have one of two primary languages; German or Russian.

In other words, our rights (including gun rights) have guaranteed any freedoms you may have.

peace peace through strength, knowledge and understanding forever.

Oh thank you I really did laugh out loud at that, talk about drama queen and all because you feel its ok for people to own weapons that are made to kill other people.

>>>>Various armies, such as the Poles, during the ????? (Times of Troubles), or Napoleon, or the Germans even as the Tsarist state collapsed under the weight of WW1 and Wall Street monies, found that holding Russian lands was much much harder than taking them and taking was no easy walk in the park but a blood bath all its own. In holding, one faced an extremely well armed and aggressive population Hell bent on exterminating or driving out the aggressor.

This well armed population was what allowed the various White factions to rise up, no matter how disorganized politically and militarily they were in 1918 and wage a savage civil war against the Reds. It should be noted that many of these armies were armed peasants, villagers, farmers and merchants, protecting their own. If it had not been for Washington's clandestine support of and for the Reds, history would have gone quite differently.

Moscow fell, for example, not from a lack of weapons to defend it, but from the lying guile of the Reds. Ten thousand Reds took Moscow and were opposed only by some few hundreds of officer cadets and their instructors. Even then the battle was fierce and losses high. However, in the city alone, at that time, lived over 30,000 military officers (both active and retired), all with their own issued weapons and ammunition, plus tens of thousands of other citizens who were armed. The Soviets promised to leave them all alone if they did not intervene. They did not and for that were asked afterwards to come register themselves and their weapons: where they were promptly shot.<<<<

I don't believe in reincarnation and I don't feel it is ok to murder someone. I certainly never said that, you did. I say it is ok to defend one self by whatever means necessary. Killing is not murder. Killing in self defense is justified. This is the only life I'll see on planet earth.

It's amazing that anyone would stand there and let someone murder another or just stand by and watch someone else harm another, your family even, without trying to do something effective.

If you term it literally as in what a person would be charged with, but killing is killing and as I said IMO a person who owns a weapon made to kill obviously thinks its alright to do so.

The only one going round invading everyone is you. Oh not to mention chopping down all the rain forests, pouring oil into the sea, polluting MY ocean and infecting the planet with your brainless sitcoms and incessant whooping.
