Now take a look at Egypt, Iraq (when saddam was in), Iran, North Korea, China, and those who do slaughter their own people, then there is a problem. Besides, who do you want to win in a attack, the victim, or the criminal, who lives and who dies?

galrads: I disagree about any need for more gun control laws. They just need to enforce the ones that exists. Taking arms from good people only helps the bad people? Besides, guns don't kill, people kill.
Well, I'm not familiar with what laws exist in your country, but if there are adequate laws then we can all see that they are not enforced. Either that or they are inadequate laws, I don't know. But it is one or the other.
Either way, something should be done about it.
I really am sick and tired of hearing that phrase, guns don't kill, people kill. For Gods sake don't put guns into the hands of people who kill!

Excellent Newy. The problem isn't guns in themselves. The people with mental illness who have access to guns is the problem....not all of it....but a good percentage. Criminals who have guns can't be stopped because they can always get a gun. But if our government puts money into our healthcare program (which has changed) to detect mental illness before it's too late, these massacare shootings might stop.
Either way, something should be done about it.

Criminals who have guns can't be stopped because they can always get a gun. :) I would like to see the president give up his security detail's fire arms. In fact every one who is against guns, but has a armed body guard should relinquish their fire arms. Just to prove that fire arms don't make them feel safer.
