jono7: weeellll... i'm no expert, that's for sure..
but i think whatever it is we see, being reflected back to us, is quite possibly what we need to look at within ourselves. everything we create in our lives is by choice. sometimes it's a question of recognizing our choices, and placing focus on that which we would prefer. i also believe we get what we focus on. focus on love creates more love. focus on absence of love creates more absence...yanno...i don't know about you, but i often am not who i think i am...
I want to respond to this and will later today. BUT
I have to be up by six so to bed for me.
I enjoyed talking with you and this certainly is an interesting subject.

purr4mance: All sounds reasonable… yabbut..... ExceptI will not allow someone else to define me.
i don't know that someone else can define you...
i think it's more about noticing what you notice about oneself. looking deeper. finding more of you.
as for... i am often not who i think i am... my denial is well entrenched in some areas.i'm a pro at justifying my own bad behavior at times... sometimes it takes a pretty big mirror to make it clear to me, and see that which is reflected back to me. sometimes the mirror is just pointing out something i need to think about as far as the choices i make.
so i am always defining me. no one can make anyone else do something or be something they don't already want to be, because one has to agree. yanno...?

Bad behavior can be fun sometimes...
I get what you're saying. Sometimes though I fight what I know is for the best. Can't figure out why???

Real love is not something that just happens: it is something that grows over time. I have always seen a difference between 'falling in love' and actually having love between two people.
People 'fall in love' all the time, but really it is only infatuation. You cannot love someone you don't really know, and it takes a long time to know someone, deeply and truly. Real love grows and develops over time as people spend time together and live through the ups and downs of life together. 'Falling in love' with someone generally means falling in love with the idea of someone, not the reality of someone. Knowing, understanding and loving the full reality of another person takes time. Also, people in a relationship need to truly connect and bond. When the pretenses are down, when the true persons are known, loved and respected, that is when real love begins. Most of the time people are putting their best foot forward in order to be loved and desired, most of the time they are not fully, truly, always their real selves, not until some time passes, sometimes years, and that is why relationships fail.
There is a huge difference between falling or being 'in love' and having real love in your life.

lately only 1 LOVE is real... the Love for greens....
Yes, real love does exist. One should always believe that it exists, cause if/when we stop believing it'll not only die out of our world but also within our own hearts.

I totally agree. Though many people have taken advantage of it and despite the fact that some people dont believe in it. I think its real and it happens. Its a feeling one has to experience first hand. Its a matter of dedication, honesty and believe.

Yes, i think love is real, but it takes many forms and no two loves are the same, Besides what are we talking about here, love of partner? love of children? love of money of possessions, love of self? love is like a fingerprint it's unique to each individual.
Yes, real love is all around us. Trees, birds, nature, we are all loves creations. Close your eyes and feel it. Spirit is love. Create your own connection with it and we can all hope for a better planet.

Love is the universal essence of life. 'To love' people and things is a little different I think. We can have love, but 'to love' I think, involves the ego, certainly in respect to money and conditional love for people ie attachment.

Isn't English such a fickled language. This one word with so many contexts based on subject and intent of what precedes it and comes after it.
Some think "Eros" translated into English is "love". Some think "Philia" translated into English is "love", then there is "Agape" that is translated into "love". Here are just three completely different things with entirely different meanings in another language that is translated into this one word "love" in English.
No wonder so many are confused by the misapplication of this word to so many things and contexts.
This is why this question has been asked, because of the confusion of meaning of this one little word.....
