damshoppin: Seen quite a few broken down Audis (newish ones too)recently, My neighbours A4 needed a new gearbox and drive shaft after 35k miles, my other neighbour had a 1 year old Q7 which spent more time being repaired than than it did on his drive..

they both suk... computer systems too sensitive, to many steering proglems, too expensive to maintain, and ,,, ummm wow,,, sounds just like my ex.

think you'll find the 4x4 BMW got alloy rear axle and diff housing that have been known to break

Not by much, and whatever the cost difference it will be covered soon by the merc reliability ,fuel economy ,maintenance is as well expensive but this car rarely breaks.On top of that its a pleasure to drive it.I remember driving the cdi model and within a week i felt that i drove this car all my life!I'd love an Audi A4 2litre TDI but unfortunately it's just too expensive.

BMW the best European car out there to buy.
Please don't buy a Mercedes.
No one ever includes Lexus, always BMW, Audi, Mercedez. These cars are so common now, everywhere. A Lexus is more prestigous and rarer and are a superior car i believe.
