It is much better to be hurt with the truth than to be deceived with a lie.Being lied to is worse. Believing the lie,well,we all like to be able to take people for their word. The truth does usually come out in the end.

Believing is not a sin. It is lying that is wrong. I hate it when somebody lies to me. The first time I discover that somebody lied to me, start wondering what other things he/she lied about. In the end I won’t believe a singled word that he/she speaks; even if it is true.

I don't beat myself up about trusting people.

good wisdom. i get lied to by everyone i know. that doesn't bother me. i am not that easy to fool. and i don't let others effect my morals. call me oldschool, i rather speak the truth and say too much than to lie or say too little.------ This poll is Archived ------

I don't think you have anything to reproach yourself about because you have trusted someone. The onus is on others to be honest and truthful with you. If they are not, the problem lies with them.......

Being lied to upsets me. That I believed the lie is a reflection of my trust in others...not a bad thing.

it is hard to accept when you already believed his words and his promises....
by your own inquiry and research, you found that that he lied to you before you believe him...then, it is better than to believe him fully eventhough that you knew that his words and actuations are already lies...
