jac379: If you're spending a lot of time on the site, then its serving some function, or functions for you.
I'm usually logged in for the best part of the day as I work from home - its my equivelant of having work colleagues and I dip in and out for social contact.
I've also learned an enormous amount on many, many levels from contributing to the forums and discussing topics with people from all over the world.
I've learned about using a computer for a start; I've learned a lot about myself and have changed for the better; I've learned a lot about geography and other cultures; & I've been inspired in so many ways and changed my life pathway for the better.
I say, "Thank you everyone, you've been grand."
I'm guessing one day, it'll no longer be a useful learning, or socialising tool and I'll move on to other things.
thats one of the best excuses I`ve read lately ...

A_Non_A_Moose: Three (or is it four years?) ago, I was almost a daily visitor to the forums, but, as of today, this is my first visit back in three weeks! Priorities change, life changes. I read more nowadays, am trying to become a better photographer (as I lean towards a multi-million dollar career in boudoir photography,....). The biggest reason I seldom venture here on a regular basis anymore is, as the title of this site suggests, as a "single" I ended up getting connected here. But I do return here every once in awhile simply because there are some truly wonderful people on this site! You state that you wonder what the use of this site is,...now the answer to that question is totally up to you,...it is what you want, and make it to be!
Hiya Moose The time you've spent here was time well spent and well worth the wait. This site has done for you what many of us dream about. Didn't matter much that the Canadian forums were rolling with tumbleweed.

Hiya 2Intrigued! It was indeed worth the wait, and the time spent here was truly worth the investment for there are indeed some great people here (yourself very much included within this realm!) Sure all that ever happened over in the Candian forums was we rolled a bunch of weed,...uh,.....sorry,...there was only rolling tumbleweed,....but it did have its moments!

Yup,...nearly had to take out a second mortgage! But to be honest, it was nothing more than wonderful timing and great social interaction! There was no discussions of "can you find true love here?" or "are there any real people on this site?" Rather, we just dove in head first, let our "meds" lapse, and went with the flow,....it also helped that it was the Canadian Forums,....a typical Alberta Oil Sands/Canada love story!

It's simply the Canadian way Moose...no beating around the tumbleweed bush. We git r dun and take home the reward. Love that clip.

You do know that the Canadian in me wants to have some "fun" with no beating around the bush line,.... Ahhh, the Canadian Way,...(PS - the following is in typical Canadian bad taste,...lol)
