Are the forums a lot quieter now than they used to be? (148)
I hear you Juney and I agree its MUCH quieter now than it used to be. Its like the fun just up and died...

I know darlin. I do see some of the "old timers" popping in from time to time though. C/S did a big purge and kicked a bunch of peeps off the site a while back and it seems they shot themselves in the foot because they pretty much killed the forums.

Juneau: I joined CS about 3 years ago, and the forums were smokin' hot at that time.... a lot of good videos too. We used to have a lot of fun. I haven't been on much over the past year, but every time I come back on to have a look around, nothing seems to be happening!

I think it's the amount of scammers on dating sites and people who have been on them for too long "me included" same ol same ol and is why a lot of us stick to the forums and blogs rather than dating side of this site. JMO! ------ This poll is Archived ------
I know right Nuls...Stooooopid move on their part eh ....Not only that but since they cleaned out the "rifraff" the trolls and scammers have moved in BIG time. Im just amazed I wasnt banned as well cause I just LOVED the "riffraff" I must have been taking a break then.

After Jeepers passed away, things seemed to slow down a bit. Possibly for the better, as many people related to him and he was always positive, funny, caring, all those things. It seems to me that the bickering has lessened (hoo-ray) or, it is much shorter lived. (Or else I just don't visit or stay very long in forums that get stinky, etc..) Personally, I'm totally stoked about being a member, and many of the folks here are way cool, like Venus, and crazyblonde, etc..(oops. is it ok to say that?) If you have been a member for a few years, would you agree that it is much quieter now?

I was invited onto a Facebook music page by an ex-CS friend a while ago. Apparently quite a few from CS have 'migrated' over to it, but although I am on Facebook, I have never got to grips with it, and don't really get on with it, so have never checked it out.... maybe I should!

Well Jeepers, and another friend of mine who was on the forums a lot with me have both passed away 
I used to be on here a LOT too, and spent a lot of time creating threads, music threads, "virtual parties" etc, but it was taking up sooooo much of my time, that I had to stop putting the long hours in.
... and I would agree as well that the scammers have put me off over the past 3 years. You get them every single day, and it is annoying. I suppose you wouldn't get quite so many on a paid-for site, but then I like the diversity of CS. It isn't so intense as a dating site, and there are (potentially) a lot more things to do.

He noticed it too and was sad for what had happened to the site. We were thinking that Tall Brunette must have sold the site or something and the new Mods just dont care maybe??...Anyhoo, we both had the feeling she was gone (and sadly missed as well)
Now I just try to kibbitz around and have fun with the peeps I know where I can and I do keep in touch by mail here with a few members

I remember you used to post some of the most awesome threads Juney...I miss them. I also miss Polly's and Sassy's coffee corners and the mad fighting between all the English/Irish/Scots...It was soooo fun!
When I get to missing peeps I just hope they are gone because they met someone wonderful and I wish them well in my heart!

Yeah, I too hope that the friends that have left, have found what they are looking for, but unfortunately the ones I do know about, have left mainly because they got bored, and also because it IS a lot quieter now! I've been here six years (used to be Snuggs) and you're right, the forums are much quieter but more importantly, they're different. That's because a lot of the members left around the time that Facebook was born. We still have some old members like myself including a few that have been here longer then I have. New members bring a different kind of conversation. There are some good threads but not as much fun as you described. Also, CS changed the format for the forums and many weren't happy with it. If you hang around often you'll get to know the people who like to joke around. Better yet, write a thread that will encourage people to post. Glad to see you back for however you stay
