I would work for 10euro an hour IF I couldn't get anything else. Beggers can't be choosers so if you're looking for work, can't find anything in a wage bracket or area you want but are offered something else you have a duty to take it IMO.

At least until something "better" comes along.

I would love to work for €30 an hour - over here that's nearly a daily rate for some.

mcattack: I hope you had a go at Stan for his comments about people living in flats and being slumdogs and basically laughing at people from poor backgrounds...

I haven't seen that mc..But I did see sofars comment. And he said he wouldn't get out of bed for 30e per hour. here he said he'd work for 10e per hour....What am I to believe...Either he would or wouldn't.

Why do you always defend sofar..? Is it a Dublin thing..?

Sofar can explain..."I wouldn't get out of bed for 30e an hour" mc. And then he can explain his complete about face here...

mcattack: Why do you always have a go at him?? this thread was obviously started to pick on the bloke...i'm not a fan of people ganging up on one person...

I can easily rattle of at least 10 posters sofar has 'pops' on a regular basis the minute they deviate from his opinion or hold a different one..

This thread/poll wasn't as you pointed out to pick on anyone. It is directed at you partener in crime and it is for him and him alone to explain why last week he wouldn't get out of bed for 30 e an hour yet today he'd work for a third of that..

Unlees you are sofars PR consulant or are contact with him you have no idea what he's is going to say or think. All you can offer in conjecture.

The context of sofar's mc was arrogant. Again sofar can speak and explain himself.

If as you claim you've read and digested the threads (I'm catching up on some)...Why didn't you 'pull' sofar up on his comments about 'agreeing' to meet up with forum posters. Throw into the mix he's said repeatly he's not here to meet anyone for any reason..? And basically offering (that's he implied) to 'fight' them...You had a pop at chancer for saying something similar...

As I said, I'm catching up mc..

Again, I'll let sofar explain his complete about face. He made the comments, he's (not you) best placed to explain himself....

Bullies come in all shapes and sizes and in the past week or two that has become even more evident.

Intelligent debate is one thing.
People can get passionate about their viewpoints.
However when it escalates to into the petty, then the intelligent bit is lost and it can becoming cyberbullying.

Cyber Bullying is something schools and teenagers across the country are trying very hard to stamp out. Maybe its a case of the adults learning from the children now.

What annoyed me wade was simply this..Sofar 'champions' the underdog and working class socialist principals. Then comes out and say's he wouldn't get out of bed for 30e per hour. Yet today he's work for less. Surely you can see the complete contradiction...

I don't grasp the relevance to the thread Mariannette..I understand the bullying part.

I'm simply asking for sofar to explain himself.

These threads have gotten petty.
A concept which is, I believe, plan to see to the vast majority of people in these forums.

Take a step back....all of you embroiled in this debacle and ask yourself....is it really the best use of my time? If no...then stop.
If yes....then ask yourself why you are so fixated on trying to get the last word.

I'm not trying to get the last word, i just don't like to see somebody picked on because he ruffled a few peoples feathers in the past, it's childish and just shows the grudge holders for what they are...pathetic!!

mc what part of 'sofar is the only person to explain his about face'..as I said earlier, all you have to offer is conjecture..

Again, I'm not making a fool out of anyone. Simply asking him (sofar) to explain his complete about face..

Your argument (for want of a better word) falls flat here mc..You are trying feebly to spin this..All i'm asking is why a forum poster wouldn't get out of bed last week for 30e per hour but today he'd work for less..And I'm still waiting for sofar to explain himself..

Like I said, you had a 'pop' a chancer last week for offering to slap someone but when sofar made the same comments you didn't utter a peep..Again (all in context) sofar has said he doesn't want to meet anyone but yet offers to meet two forum posters to 'clear the air'...

Again (repeating myself!!!!) I'll let sofar explain the simple Q I put to him..Why last week he wouldn't work for 30e per hour but today he would. Unless you are his PR consultant or other you have no idea of what he meant when he said it (getting out bed....). Let sofar explain it for himself.

It's my opinion about the context in which it was said..am i not allowed give it?? why not mail him and ask him if it bothers you that much??

I gave my opinion on Chancer doing it..do i have to say it to everyone?? where did he say it anyway?? was it in the threads or privately??

Most people can see this thread for what it is, borderline bullying and an attempt to try make a fool of somebody...that's not just my view as others have already pointed out..

I wouldn't. Is that why you started the poll? You really are touched. You must wake up in the morning thinking about me do you?laugh

You will find above I said "I would work for 10euro an hour IF I couldn't get anything else." And you will notice the "if" in capitals.

At the moment I can get other things, in fact my field is doing very well at the moment, so I wouldn't get out of bed for it. kiss yay

Mc I knew exactly what he was doing and that why I said in my statement "IF I couldn't get anything else"laugh

And the fact is I can get something else. He is on a loser as usual and the fact he says he didn't see any of Stains comments of "working class" people shows him for what he is.

THis is like asking though would I work for a tenner an hour, 50 an hour, 150 an hour... depends what you'd have to do and how badly the money was needed.

I remember watching a program about worst jobs in the world. One of them these guys who had to dive down into the Ganges river out of a speedboat and pull up dead corpse that had been thrown in and were washed down stream. They'd pull enough corpses up until the boat was full and off they'd go. Rotten.... uh oh I doubt they were getting much an hour.
