Ali's latest quote should be "He who is stupid enough to let himself be punched during rope a dope, will have Parkinson's disease the rest of his life"
Foreman inflicted the most damage to his brain.
I think Mike Tyson would have beaten him and so would've Joe louis who I think was the greatest heavyweight.

"Post-traumatic Parkinson's syndrome may occur following cumulative head trauma in contact sports and exceptionally rarely after single severe closed head injury. It remains uncertain, however, whether physical injury should be considered one aetiological factor in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease."
jac379: Whoever he was named after, it still wasn't his own name and identity.
I agree it was not. Just thought it was a little known interesting fact. Ali was such a polarizing figure in America for much of his early career due to his politics but no one could ever argue agaist his skills in the ring. I like to think that just maybe the fact that he has reached such iconic status here that transcends political, religious, and cultural lines shows that in some ways we Americans as a nation have become at least somewhat more tolerant.

Joe Louis, 'The Brown Bomber' I was nicknamed after him when I was very young.

I think he should have some credit for making that happen.
Personally, I think he made a massive contribution to society and that, as much as his tactical skill, is why he's the greatest heavy weight boxer to have ever fought in the ring.

I have only ever seen one other fighter that can dodge punches like Ali. That would be Anderson Silva in the UFC. Not only was Ali the greatest heavywieght he is also a great humanitarian.

He was such a show off!
Brilliant clip, Kenn.
Perhaps humanity begins with confidence and humour, not to mention the passion of your convictions and great courage.

I think the likes of Joe Frazier and George Foreman would disagree with the idea of Ali as a humanitarian. No doubt he was a great boxer and should be applauded for that but the way he treated such a gentleman like Frazier has to be questioned.

I was referring to Ali's humanitarian work throughout his life after boxing. The man truly has done a lot for others less fortunate.
