When you write a comment on a blog, do you want an acknowledgement on it. Do you think it is only good manners to reply to a comment? Or do you think it is a waste of time?
hoolet: Only if the OP feels it is appropriate. If it´s a fatuous comment whassa point?????
i agree. not all comments are realy necessary to respond to. i like to send thanx or atlest acknowledgement to helpfull advice. or a personal message when i am intrigued by a comment.

Its always nice to receive acknowledgement to ones comment. Then again they say silence is an answer too,,,

Kinda depends on what I wrote down , humorous post , serious statement, informative nature or total rubbish ...
You can do 1 of the 2... Reply or ignore.- Life is simple, why complicating it.

If I create my own thread, I tend to acknowledge comments to the point of overkill - it changes the dynamic of the thread. I just feel rude not doing it.
If I post, I like to interact with people, rather than be acknowledged. Its up to me to say something interesting enough to warrant interaction, I feel.
It can be a difficult balance to allow other posters to interact without interference and make people feel welcome, or their contributions appreciated. Some people are more skilled than others at hosting a thread. I'm one of the well mannered, but less skilled.

Don’t need acknowledgement... Typically my statements reflects a "moment" in my life. Some are futile, some pseudo intelligent, some crazy, some banal… and in between some might make sense...

Thank you Chris, but I've seen others host their threads with great skill, but try as hard as I might, have not managed mine nearly as well, nor picked up the knack from them.

Your replies are very good and you do reply, even to people like me who tend to be over the top sometimes,
Isn't this beautyful,as we aren't all the same????

I haven't been to the "blog" section yet but when I was on another site before I didn't need acknowledgment. Of course, it's nice to get one but I realize it is very time consuming and difficult to keep up with everyone.
