Indyfella: If nothing else, he kept 2 bigger dumb asses out of office.
You say you don't support him, but you always seem to defend him. I have difficulty fathoming that we would have been worse off...but if you insist....

Well, if you had Gore, you'd be cruising around on a battery powered cycle Robert....for starters.
I don't think he's that "evil" person that you all think he is. I don't think we've had a truly evil president. We've had bad ones.
Also, I'm not sure how a social idiot could be out two so called "scholars"......doesn't say much for those "scholars", does it?
There's that side of me that hopes we do get Obama for 4 years though...cuz it'll take 20 more years before the country will want another one...
First off, I think the thread title was an interesting (albeit accidental) choice of words. Mr. Bush is a Republican, so therefore most everything he's done has been "right." (As opposed to his "left" wing opponents.)
Having said that, here's something good and 'right' that he's done: With his many and various faux pas, he singlehandedly made folks forget all about Jimmy Carter's brush with the infamous man-eating swamp rabbit!
(Unfortunately we still haven't been able to forget about Clinton's BJ in the oval office!)

I doubt we'd be electric in one or even two terms - given the current level of technology. Even I, he who worships internal combustion, acknowledges that we'll eventually have to do something.
I have never thought of him as evil, just patently misguided. I wish he'd do something else - run a baseball team or something.

I heard he wanted to become a community organizer when he retires.... The get lots of credit for doing nothing
Here's something that I found to be very funny and how Bush answerd a question asked by him reporter Mark Trahant pertaining to what being tribal sovereignty means.
When President Bush was questioned about tribal sovereignty in the 21st century at a gathering of minority journalists he responded: “Tribal sovereignty means that. It’s sovereign. You’re a … you’re a … you’ve been given sovereignty and you’re viewed as a sovereign entity."

Ahhhhhh yes...the man is such an eloquent speaker....
I liked his answer to the student in the U.K. about what the White House was like....

Now Don, that was damn funny Carter did beat the hell out of that rabbit. Where's PETA when you need them? And yes, I forgot that....
