lalasierra: Can women successfully combine both career and home?
Yes, of course they can. But statistically speaking;
They're less likely to get married. If they do get married, they're more likely to divorce. She is more likely to cheat on her Husband. She is much less likely to have kids. If she does have kids, she is more likely to be unhappy about it. He will be unhappy if she makes more than him. She will be unhappy if she makes more than him.
And saving the best until the last: the Husband is more likely to fall ill. A study found that a Wife who works under 40 hours a week had no impact on her Husband's health, but a Wife who worked over 40 hours a week had, and I quote, a "substantial, statistically significant, negative effects on changes in her husband’s health over that time span". Awesome.

where do you get your statistics from? the statistics that I know are bonafide or that 85% of all married couples in America experience a bout of infidelity - most husbands not wives - most marriages end in divorce 43% - it takes 2 to make a marriage -
men statistically die sooner than women - so the substantial statistically signifcant negative effects of her husband's health has to do with biology not the non existence relationship to a wife working outside the home.

No it doesn't, otherwise there could be no difference to her Husband's health dependent upon the amount of hours a week the Wife works.

They're less likely to get married. Wrong!
If they do get married, they're more likely to divorce. Done it!
She is more likely to cheat on her Husband. Never did, I did not know I had to
She is much less likely to have kids. Done it!

Go for it Montse!
Some men might be afraid of a career woman but not all.

Awesome. Very comical!
Um, is your response here key for explaining why you have 'dream' in your CS name? ... Kidding, of course.

Of course they can. I was divorced when my daughter was 5 years old. I had to go to work and it was a full time job. The work didn't end at 5:00 pm. I went home cooked dinner for the two of us, did the laundry, cleaned the house, went to Girl Scouts meetings, went on Girl Scout camping trips, went to her school plays, grocery chopping, clothes shopping, birthday parties, and on top of all that I was dating. That continued until she was 18 and went to college and even then on weekends I took cartons full of healthy fresh food to her at college.

MADDOG69: Jeez must be tough there...
Anyway I wouldn't date a woman without some sort of career. Can't be dealing with lazy women idling around the house.
Among my friends I used to have one whom had not a career, she was a house-wife and also she had several people to do the clearing of her home and the laundry, the ironing, etc… but she wanted her husband to help with some house-chores when the “help” was not home!!!
Being at home does not guarantee that a woman (or man) will be in charge for a good running of a home and to look after the children as being a career woman (or man) does not impede to be a good mother (father) and to run a home in a good way.
(Would you happen to have an uncle whom is single and nice and interesting and not as mad as you know)

I have an uncle that is single and for his age is *particularly good looking. When women here of his age they can't believe it. Unfortunately he's a religious fundamentalist.
