For me, dating is a necessary chore until I figure out how to skip that part and go straight to a relationship with someone who is suitable for me (and I for them).
I have had countless one drink dates and a few good ones. I remember one date where after we went to the habitat for humanity restore for a screen door and then to ikea to look at kitchens for a house he was remodeling. A+ for creativity.

Met a date for lunch and had a good time until we got back to our cars. I noticed he had put the month and year stickers on wrong (reversed). In NJ you have plates in the front and back. He said all he had to do was put the back plate on the front and the front on the back and they would be correct!!!! He was so serious he went into town to get a screwdriver to make the change. He almost had me thinking I was crazy LOL He proved himself an idiot, yada yada yada, never saw him again.

I still enjoy dating but all my online dates have been seriously disappointing for various reasons so I'll stick to dating offline!
