jac379: I might understand a point someone is making, a behavioural reaction, or some aspect of that person.

Some people I might have greater understandings with than others.

But I'm not sure I'd want to understand a whole person, or even if that's possible.
thumbs up sometimes couples who are married for decades conclude that they really didn't know each other very well at all.

Thus the reason why people stay on the site for years..
They pretty much couldn't figure each other.

I gave up trying to understand people online or offline and what they do many many many years ago.

Sometimes it's less stress just to remain confused.laugh

In the seven years I've been on CS I understood one male from Ireland....Vinny. He left CS and within the past six months I've come to understand one female and one male, both very fine people. hug

I understand nobody here in reality because I don't know them in the true sense of the word. I haven't made many friends because I don't particularly want to and therefore haven't tried. I have friends offline, a busy work life and a good social life, so CS is nothing more than a tool to while away a few minutes conversing and learn a little about other cultures which for me is fascinating. There are though a handful of members who I would like to meet.

I have however learnt a lot from changing behaviours of certain long term members as I am, give or take long absences from time to time, and that's rather scary!

well as for me understanding everything about every one would be boring who wants to be a robot not me,,, I like dealing with all the different personalitys yes I no some on hear seem to be a little strange but that's OK my next door neighbor is very strange but I steal say hi to them,,, that's the way it used to be showing a little respect for others no matter who thy are

I no some times we say things in the heat of the moment but that dose not say who we really are and some times we have an off day when we just go a little crazy its like our brain shuts down but our mouth and fingers keep moving,,, but that's the way real life is its all good just my thoughts of an old fart beer

It is easy to form opinions about the other posters in what they say and how they say it. It certainly doesn't mean ones first impression is always right. My opinion or understanding has changed over time towards some of the Cs'ers.wave handshake
