I don't think I could feel mine even when I was skeletally thin and showing signs of ill health.
I'm a little concerned for you.

I would consider a visit to your doctor.Dieting is good,but sometimes it can reveal what was not apparent before.

To my knowledge no you aren't supposed to feel it.Seek medical help.

The Xiphiod Process is a small piece of cartilage at the bottom of the sternum. If you are not too fat you can easily feel it. As you get older it tends to harden and sometimes curve outwards.
