lalasierra: Yes, I'm sure having children requires much more planning on a daily basis and for future such as college but in the meantime enjoy the good times and take advantage of them.
As for being more organized, life will flow much easier. Use a daytimer or calendar to help. It makes a big difference. When going to the market, make a list first. If your children take their lunch to school, make their lunches the night before so you are less rushed in the morning. Do one or two loads of laundry a day instead of letting it pile up and become too overwhelming.
I hope that helps. Good luck.

lalasierra: Sorry to hear about your debt issue. I've been there and yes it can be stressful. I got to the point that I stopped stressing about it so much that I could only do the best I could to pay it off and I had to realise that "the bills will be here tomorrow" so no sense in flipping out kind of attitude.. Finally, I paid my dues with much diligence but didn't allow my stress to become so overbearing.
Good luck to you.
am kinda easy going...don't get overly excited and no flip out for sure...I clear my debt soon, bit of hard work/discipline/time is all that's required (no panic).
lalasierra: I live one day at a time. I should probably be a little less care-free, but I feel tomorrow may never come.
Don't get me wrong, I am "prepared" for a rainy day as much as one possibly can be but I try to live it up, so to speak and enjoy life on a daily basis.
I always take time to smell the flowers.
I was going to post the song "One Day at a Time" but it was just too depressing
Live in the now, no point in worrying about stuff that may, or may not, happen

I work alot. I grow the flowers, but sometimes I forget to smell them. I try to save all I can for a rainy day, while raising 2 wonderful kids. Life is good...we have all we need, and I am truly Blessed.
I wish I could say I live it up all relaxed and one day at time and stuff but...
That's not me...I need structure and a plan and a schedule to go for... and goals, personal , professional , whatever... but a goal to achieve or I simply feel useless and ... I really need to keep my brain as busy as possible... that's how I feel alive.

Hahaha! You don't sound controlling but you need a game plan and that's great but because I live to appreciate the present does not mean my life isn't structred or that I have no ambition. In fact, I feel very ambitious and eager to do more in one day than an average person.
