I don't believe there is a universal definition of love...every individual experiences and defines love in a way that is particular to them, their depth of sensitivity, and awareness of their emotional capacity.
For me love translates into a fierce desire to protect, support and comfort; a wanting to consider their needs, to be a shoulder to lean/cry on, to cheer them on when they need encouragement, to fight in their corner, to allow them the space to be who they are without recriminations or insecure jealousies; sharing a passionate desire that can be ignited by a simple touch or fleeting meeting of the eyes....and so much more...

He dumped me after I gave him more then I've ever given any man. That was eight years ago. I've been over it a long, long time but I learned my lesson not to ignore the red flags or my intuition.
