Dress/skirt or pants? (49)
For practical reasons I wear tight jeans and leggings a lot, but I do prefer dresses and found a site recently that sells a style I really love (come on.. something called Fairy Waterfall Dress and of course I am game 
).
Also, if only one could still wear something like from the American Civil War era, all those petticoats..
but pfft - how you gonna drive a car wearing that or take your hounds for a run in the forest?

It's not about the dress or pants. It's the way a woman wears them. Some girls could look good in a sack, whereas others could make the nicest dress look like a sack of potatoes.

Depends upon what you plan to do?
Dinner, romance, dancing- skirt or dress is better.
Outdoorsy stuff like hiking, canoe, cycling - pants is better, well atleast with kind of weather we have in this country.

I think that for dancing, dining, rock climbing, horse riding, ice skating, fencing, going to the theatre, stuff like that, the best think for a woman to wear is a skirt/dress with 5" heels. For all other things like taking a bath she should wear whatever she feels comfortable in.

So far the poll seems to validate what I always heard: Men do prefer us on average to wear skirts or dresses.
Strange that we though mainly wear pants. They are more practical, I'd say, but I try to wear tops that are sort of mini dress like, then combine them with tight jeans to still get something from both worlds. Nylon tights are blooming cold plus I always end with runners and holes

The old style long dresses surely are warm, but no way one could drive a car in them
