Does the article give any indication as to why half of black men's marriages end?
If half the marriages involving black men also involve people with a terminal illness, then being black and male isn't the cause of the marriage ending, it's death of the spouse.
I realise it's a slightly silly example, but it demonstrates the difference between a correlation (black men and marriages ending) and cause (terminal illness of the spouse leading to death).
Besides that, even if half of black men's marriages end, it doesn't mean the other half are 'bad husbands'. The other half whose marriages don't end might be the best husbands in the world.
Sometimes articles are written in a misleading way to make the research sound more exciting, interesting, or even in this case possibly to incite racial disharmony.

I guess I'll not be getting married again anytime soon if it's true that "When you get married you immediately give your wife all the power over your money (something tangible)."
That kind of empowerment would require "trust" and since Love (something intangible) is not a reason for getting married anymore, Trust can't exist... imo

Yes, well they're rather impulsive and obsessed with their own behaviour. Hypothetically speaking I wouldn't want the gamble of being married to a Black man or of having a Black Father.
Having said that, Western society's de-civilisation process is gifting to most a similar sense of insane and unrestrained savage individualism. From the baby boomer onwards the White man has about as strong a sense of the civilisational good as the tribal Zimbabwean. In our natural, default and lazy state of today our self-control is only fractionally above that of the Black man. White divorce is not far behind Black divorce.

I wouldn't get too worked up about it. In the US the divorce rate is about 50% across the board. the divorce rate among couples is most likely similar regardless of race. I don't know that they sorted by race and doubt it. I really don't see a lot of white males marrying black women. On the other hand I see a lot of white women with black males for some reason. I haven't made a study of it though, but it seems just by observation to disprove the OP. There are quite a few white women with black men and I doubt that would occur if they were bad husbands. generalizations are seldom true anyway.

lol yeah... I'm pretty sure I can demonstrate the exact opposite is true on the numbers. Do you actually live in the US?
It goes on to show that White male/Black Female have half the divorce rate of Black Male/White Female pairings after 10 years.
