Actually chances are if you are born in Canada, it is likely your parents have some connecting to Scotland.
I read somewhere that all the clans are represented in Canada, even it they no longer exist in Scotland. Something to do with the highland clearances - of course England had the enclosures too - and it seems from reading that most of the Irish went to America. go figure, or maybe I better stop getting my information from the internet.
