I've met up with one person as a friend from this site and a handful of people from another site.
All the people were true to their profiles and it was really nice to meet up with them.
I have some plans for future meets, but have spent longer getting to know these people because of distance. I find taking my time communicating with people both functional and enjoyable.

I met one in 2008 in Iowa. A sweetheart of a Lady but so badly damaged from her childhood and never getting the help she truly needed. I often wonder what happened to her cause she disappeared then a year later contacted me then disapeared again.

MrCountingStars: And if so, how did the dates go? How long did the relationship last? Was the experience good or bad? Would you do it again or are you more cautious since the experience?
I had one meet and greet when I first joined the site. He was not what he portrayed himself to be in his profile so no second date was arranged. I always try my best to use caution but we're never certain until we actually meet face to face in some cases. I don't anticipate meeting anyone else from this site in future.

I've met six women we had lots of fun

I went to one, and organised the next. They are good craic, and a great way of getting to meet those you have been chatting to.

They are great persons and exactly like their profiles said. With two of them I am still friends.
