Sorry if this has been done before, but if so, I haven't seen it. When do you think was the best time to transition into adulthood? If not the same as your ACTUAL decade, then explain why you think your choice was better.

Would have to say the Eighties. Have some very fond memories of those times. When painting the town red was actually fun
That would mean that I've survived the 2nd World War, men were still men and women still women, we were all happy together, creating a babyboom... New international foods, medicine and technologies were introduced. Cities were rebuilt. The economy reblossomed. We were optimistic, happy and convinced things would only go better from now on... We knew to appreciate the important things in life and people also still had some style and class, their clothes still covered most of their bodies.

I don`t know, but If there was a possibility to regain youth and travel back in time , I`d explore the 60`s and 70`s

Yeah of course mate; I'm 60 and am still young.
But the question related to the time when you transitioned to adulthood, which for most people turns out to be an important time. Each decade threw up different challenges for those becoming adults.

Wow, interesting answer MissT. I wonder how many felt that way? My father was a little older perhaps, but he felt the opposite - pessimistic. Left the Netherlands for Australia in the mid 50's. But then, if he'd hung on a few more years, things did start to boom by late 50's-60's.

I'd say the 90s, the Soviets had just fallen, Chinese sweatshops were reaching high rates of productivity, the banks had been largely deregulated and never was there a time that people in the West could get so much out of life without putting very much in. Those were the days.
