Breaking Bad was phenomenal and Game of Thrones is superb
Burn Notice is about a spy dumped in Miami - might just get local ratings. Breaking Bad was fabulous and of course, Game of Thrones is outstanding.
Black Sail just started, White Queen, and Reign, (modern tale of Mary Queen of Scots from a decidedly Scottish perspective) and TrueBlood of course.
hmmmm seems I am a bit too involved in tv then the reality of my life.....
ah well what can I do when I am stuck here in a tropical paradise, alone and cannot travel to Scotland because I work all the time. and I can't figure out how to lure a man living in Scotland to visit me here....

I haven't heard of Black Sail, White Queen or Reign...must look into those. House of Cards is excellent as well, only one Season released so far...gotta love Kevin Spacey!
All work and no play makes Jane a very dull girl Take a vacation and book your flights to Scotland

I need to - House of Cards is good.... of course, I like Person of Interest, Big Bang Theory, Revolution....
Most are just churned-out rubbish/bad remakes. But within all the crap, the odd pearl appears. That is why we continue sifting through.
Plus, we are rarely given much of a choice on tv here (or cinema). French, Italian films etc., are usually only shown late at night, as some kind of 'cineclub' offering, although they are often far superior.

The Bourne Identity is a 2002 American-German action spy film adaptation of Robert Ludlum's novel of the same name. It stars Matt Damon as Jason Bourne, suffering from extreme memory loss, attempting to discover his true identity amidst a clandestine conspiracy within the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
The film also features Franka Potente, Chris Cooper, Clive Owen, Brian Cox and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. This, the first in the Bourne film series, is followed by The Bourne Supremacy (2004), The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), and The Bourne Legacy (2012).
The film was directed by Doug Liman and adapted for the screen by Tony Gilroy and William Blake Herron. Although Robert Ludlum died in 2001, he is credited as the film's producer alongside Frank Marshall. Universal Pictures released the film to theatres in the United States on June 14, 2002, and it received a positive critical and public reaction.
I am a great fan of Ludlum and read the books first.
Surprisingly I found the film lived up to the novel. I watched it twice at tha same sitting
It all depends on what you like. Each market caters to their specific audience. Even within, there are differences. Your Rom Coms, sci fi, Historical, etc.
There are american films that I love and some from British directors I love, and a few French films I really dig on. But I also love my Japanese anime as well.
To say one is better than the other , it's all about taste. I love the American movie "Showgirls". It's are really bad movie but it is awesome in it's badness.
The US film industry seem to think that all the audience want are special effects and tend to foget a good story line and acting. However some very good films have been made over the years.
I eagerly awaits, i highly anticipating the Divergent series which i read fr0m n0vel before, i just love dystopian films, hunger games, v for vendetta, total recall etc
Maybe I'm getting old or my TV. A lot of newer movies have so loud music, that you can hardly understand what they're saying. Both german or native english, but I need to verify this.
