Hi Edison
I think romance is very much alive and well, and it's totally possible to convey it online.
It does need to be acted out in person at some point but the initial flame can be lit between two people online .. and I do think romance is important to many men also

Hi Edison, I think cherishing each other and let the other person know that they matter to you is still important if you want a long-term relationship that is going to work.
This is just my impression - hard to find someone on here who would want to cherish you with your clothes on.
If I ever start looking again, I would do in social situations or through friends.
I believe that being romantic is mostly a learned action. You are or you aren't based upon your exposure, observations, training, experiences, and rewards from a young age forward. I believe that the internet fosters an instant gratification mentality and tends to redirect people's social interactions from a personal "polite society" towards an impersonal "no consequences" society. There always has been and will always be romantically inclined and not inclined persons, however, there will be less unromantic people retrained to be romantic. Personally, I would love to find a lady with whom we could share romance! Any volunteers?

If I'm understanding what you say then I'm not sure I agree .
I believe romance , true romance comes from the heart with which we're born
