Hard to say,....I have seen Tiernan and Martin live. Steve is very funny, and Tommy's rants are absolutely hilarious! Emery and Hill,....classic comedians,....Hope,...dry, but legendary! (And I loved him with Bing!)
So, so many I could list,....but,...individually great were these people, but together,....I pee'd my pants laughing way too many times,....and not a swear word ever uttered - the cast of the Carol Burnett Show. Especially Harvey and Tim,.....not if Harvey would crack up,....but when,...
unlaoised: I love Tommy Tiernan. I know some find him crude but he's the funniest live commedian I've ever seen. It helps to understand the Irish culture, though
Love Tommy too. He got a bit carried away there for a bit but people should remember they're just trying to be funny and entertain.
@Moose Have to agree with you on the Carol Burnett show. They were all hilarious but Tim was my favourite! I don't think they ever knew what he was going to do next! My favourite sketches are these two. First one gets really good at 4:55 and the second one at 4:45 for those that don't want to watch the whole thing!
Although i like the above mentioned ones, i have to say DAVE ALLEN is really funny and one of my favs. He was in the 70's mainly and timeless humour. Really, Really would recommend people look him up!!

HairandHorns: Dara O'Briain is a fantastic stand-up but I still think Dave Allen was the best at spinning a story.
DAVE ALLEN brilliant!! Very funny even today. although i wasn't even born in the 70's i saw the repeats in later years. Very funny man and a great way about him.
pedalguy59: Remember him well, excellent at the storied joke.
Yeah and i love observational humour about life and situations in life everyone can identify. How he turned it around to make it funny and quirky. Had a great relaxed way about him, it was almost like you were in his living room and him telling a story to friends or in a pub etc
JeanKimberley: Jenny Slate, Amy Schumer, Chelsea Peretti, Shelby Fero, Kulap Vilaysack, June Diane Raphael, Aparna Nancherla, Maria Bamford, Kristen Schaal, Jessica Williams, Megan Amram
I could go on, and on and on about all the good female comedians.
Not familiar with any of them. The ones I know are Victoria Wood, Dawn French, Pauline McLynn, Deirdre O'Kane, Carol Burnett, Miranda Hart, Sarah Milican, Catherine Tate. Across the atlantic and not necessarily stand up: Sandra Bullock, Melissa McCarthy, Valerie Harper (in Rhoda), Doris Day, Joan Rivers.
Like i said b4,Benny Hill was my favourite from the list but my all-times favourites were the Marx Brothers and Laurel & Hardy, the 2 i just mentioned were legends of comedy.
Spike Milligan made me laugh ,I think he was so clever, intelligent with his wit....he could get manic sometimes and this is when his gift of true genius would emerge.,,in my opinion he was the best in his field. memory lives on spike,
