...many moons ago I wanted to join the army because I liked the uniform and especially men in army uniform, After watching private Benjamin my mind was made up that's what I wanted to do,,,,..my best mate Julie ,helo Julie in Kildare,
, no she won't be on here .::

We read up a leaflet on it and it said you had to have 32 teeth,.now this was back in early eighties.......she counted my teeth had only 28,
..don't think army life would have suited me anyway,....well the ex hubby went on to wear a uniform a firemans one.,.but between you and me that dosnt do it for me I like the army one on a handsume man,::blushing:

Well the most rewarding job for me is my partime job as care assistant for the elderly at day care centre,I love it,....it's an experience in itself every day is different,,...mature folks I like to say,old that's only for the woman they up the road they d say.

Actually I did like history of wars in school, I wanted to go see the guns of naverone My nanna brought me I was just 12. Then I loved to watch mash,private bengemin,., ..no it was a bridge to far I went to see with my nanna,I watch all the war films,when we were in Normandy over ten years ago we went to uhtar beach and I bought a decanter with seriel number on it,sat on the bunkers,,,,,,my nanna s brother was in the Second World War his name was Sean and he survived the war but then died i from gas fumes from a stove in a place where he and another were in camp before he was due home,he was just 23 or 24"""plus my aunt has a sketch pad that belonged to him of funny cartoon drawings of the war he did he was very good at art,....anyway yes I like the army uniform.
