This is slight, but it may be significant if caught early enough...please bear with me whilst I explain.

I learnt this recently on relating.

It involves not saying yes or no straight away but to delay saying it until you have explained why your saying yes or no.

Its a bit like in school when you do a maths test...you get more marks for the working out..and less for just the answer.

I used to just say yes or no without too much thought to this in a relationship (probably once I was taking it for granted).

A very small example of this is:

If a partner says "Look at that flower...I like it...it looks x, y, z ...do you like it ?"

I would say "yes" (and said innocently, with out too much thought)

However to relate....you should take a little time to say why your saying yes and then say yes.

"Well, I like it because x, y, z...." (x, y, x is what ever it may be) and then say "yes"

This is just an example of how without knowing, slowly, communication breaks down, which gets easily over looked.
