Solamente: Tattoo's.... This seems to be the age of the body art explosion. Are tat's attractive?
I have quiet a few tattoo's, All done over 30 years ago. Time has caught up to them and they do not look as good as they used too. At my age now I wish I never got them, So it is something anybody thinking about getting tattoo's should consider,, Will they still want them as they age.
I went through a period of time where I had an Artist at a place called "Dragonfly" I think the favorite one I received is the one on my right forearm. I also have a tattoo of a sword/dagger with a black rose and a serpent that wraps around it on my spine/back. I don't have plans for another but if I did I would try hard to find the guy that did the Forearm and have the other forearm done with the same style so they had a kind of "balance".
I have three. They all remind me of me at a young and stupid age...but in a good way. I'd love one more but I find them addictive so I will probably try to avoid the temptation. I hate the whole...what does your tattoo resemble. ..what does it mean...what's the story behind it buzz...nothing! I just liked it and wanted it...no grand spiritual thing at all!

How "young" were you then? you are surely not "old"...though I do remember I got my first one when I was pretty young and also drunk...glad it was a small one on my ankle. lol. ;-}

bungallow55: my old man used to say; tattoos are for convicts
Well Bung...maybe in your old man's day that fit but this is the 21st century and it has become a very acceptable form of self expression. I don't have one myself but understand those that do.

a prison tattoo is a big cross on the chest or back.. Cause that is where they Suddenly "find God"
Nicer on everybody else but me. My dad had one of a heart, bird flying away with a ribbon with my name...my name was misspelled. Mistakes can be made. I have a friend that is trying to remove the heart with her ex-husband's name above her left breast. It's costing her over $1,000 and it's still not completely removed, as it has color. You can still see the outline of the tattoo.
chris27292729: When get old,with a wrinkled body skin,maybe swear,was a mistake, to have them.
.... and the coulours start to fade too, plus the wrinkled skin. I have seen that with my own eyes on someone in her mid 50s who got tats on her arm when she was in her teens ...
