There'll be a wealthy minority who'll live to a very old age in the future.
However, the 90% of people my age will have it worse than the 90% of people your age. Most of my generation will die younger than our parents.
Diet is worse nowadays, our working hours are longer and more unhealthy and we'll retire later(due to having no money and not a longer lifespan)and the general atmosphere of the economy will be much more stressful and competitive. Also, what most people my age and younger can look forward to in regards to a pension will be very grim indeed - we'll be lucky if our mortgages and students debts are cleared by the time we retire.

Welcome to the Matrix. Actually in the movie the Matrix you got a choice between the red pill and the blue pill of reality. And as she open the car door and says to the man, you've been down that road and you know where it leads, as it is pointed back to the corporate world. I'm not sure about living forever, but I would sure like to come back as an animal of some kind the next time around. Where I can live in nature, make my own nice and interesting house, snack and hang out and peacefully co exist with others who get it. Sad to say that's not man kind.

On the subject of eternal life, Sadly it is a myth.
In human form in this body it will not happen. We are appointed once to die. No escaping that. Sure people used to live long enough to be worth while i.e. several hundred years and that is the goal of those unfortunate "elite" who are willing to go to any length in an attempt to secure radical life extending technology. But for most of us regular schleps that would never be an option anyway.
I am convinced the true eternal life is not in this physical form, but in a modified, more pure form. Likely as some form of energy being.
Even then eventually we will return to source at some remote time in the future, not only us, but all things will eventually cease.
This is according to the great masters is the in breathing and out breathing of the ALL. It is written that by the time that all things once again return to source we will go gladly and willingly to that end if we ourselves have achieved mastery.
Humans are far too corrupt to achieve immortality at this time. So far all intents and purposes it just "Ain't Happening".

Being a vampire is nice as long as you are part of an elite group.
Being with 7 billion with eternal life sounds quite boring.

I do think science in the future will be able to extend a persons average life span,
Not only will diseases and illnesses that we die of today will cease as medical science will advance through using stem cells etc but they will find the gene that causes ageing and human life will be greatly extended,
Computer chips might even be put in humans and even human type robots,.

The thing is tho the planet is warming up and measures have to be put in place as our ozone layer could disappear,
I won't worry about these things today,
No one likes ageing but if I can be as fit and healthy as I can and stay independant I will settle for that and be thankful.
