MrRick77: Did they get the Ferguson Case verdict right ??!!
Since they had to go one way or another, as I stated in another post, the benefit of the doubt (and there certainly was doubt) goes to the accused. That's the whole idea of why we have America. The officer was the defendant in this action, and he is entitled to the benefit of the doubt. So, yes, they got it right.
Orien3: why do they have to shoot to kill?, why not just shoot them in the leg or somewhere to bring them down but alive.
ever fired a Gun? I mean in a Stress-Situation,or after some physical exertion, maybe having been assaulted and injured as that Officer was? You might could attempt that if you haven't got a 290-pounder charging at you! Besides,Police is trained to aim for the biggest Bodymass! I know,Hollywood makes look easy, shooting the Gun out the Hand of a Criminal,or shoot him in his Knee, but reality is a bit different!

I also had the question of why didn't he shoot his legs.
In his interview with ABC news, George Stefanapolous (sp?) Officer said: " I looked down the eyesight of my gun and his head was there and I shot him".
I learned a long time ago from a police officer that if I was ever questioned after I shot someone that I shouldn't say I wanted to kill them. The better way to say it is....I wanted to stop him coming towards me. The former way proves intent and that will get me the needle, in most cases.
In Officer Wilsons situation his intent was to kill Michael Brown after he knew that Brown wanted to kill him.
An ex cop on a talk radio show said that cops are taught to shoot to kill. This is for 2 reasons: #1 to stop the threat once and for all, and #2 to prevent years of lawsuits for injuries. I believe this would explain why they are taught to shoot the largest body mass, and it would also be easier to hit than say, a knee.

Really? Men and women police officers are instructed to shoot the largest body mass when they are threatened, primarily because in the heat of the moment their aim accuracy can really suffer.
Who knows. They have witnesses that are contradicting each other, and should not speak if unsure or make that part clear. Also, there could have been mistakes on suspects side and also the ONE cops side (not ALL cops though). People are talking like they are all the same.

This case is over - the only cases coming up are the violent protesters who have and will continue to get arrested and the federal and the civil cases that will arise out of it.
Lesson learned - the police force must diversify - it should be made up of members of the general population..... but change comes slowly to the southern states.

Same issue exist up north. I think It's not like you can blame eeo recruitment efforts though. Major cities up north are reassessing how to attract more women and minorities.
In Columbus: Amy Delong, head of the city’s Civil Service Commission, said the group has discussed with (Mayor) Coleman three changes in the background standards:
• Candidates would not be removed if they took a drug not prescribed to them such as a Percocet or Ambien no more than once.
• The city would not disqualify applicants if their drivers license was suspended for financial reasons, such as nonpayment of car insurance.
• Applicants would not be removed if they admit to minor physical or emotional domestic violence in the past 10 years, such as a fight with a sibling as minors that didn’t result in criminal charges.
Police- and fire-union officials have said the standards should not be changed (LOWERED), because of the sensitive nature of public-safety jobs.
The U.S. Department of justice has filed suits against cities, everywhere, for not having better diversity of women and minorities.
In my opinion they got it all wrong. A man with his hands in the air is obviously surrendering so Wilson did not have to shoot him. Besides that shooting, police officers are given non-lethal weapons to use as a first option instead of resorting to their firearms. If the officer in Cleveland, Ohio had used non-lethal force on that 12 year old boy he would be alive today. That officer killed that boy over a toy and should be tried for murder. Cops are getting away with to much violence and it's time to hold them accountable. I say. HANDS UP----DON'T SHOOT.
reb56: that group wants to come in also,n guys who wear masks, also.over n done?
would be over and done with but sheeple believe media fairy tales, holder and subversives tryin to stir up civil war, need to shine lite on them & media, always makin 20 loosers look like 300 victims, fairy tales don't pop out of thin air that stuff is scripted, planed, managed
ali110: there is a good way to capture the person by using the Dart Gun
Too risky, because a dart is usually fired from a rifle and can penetrate and leave a victim, possibly harming anyone behind the intended target.... Whereas, bullets most police use are designed to tumble around inside the intended target and not exit.

Most of the time "Reduced Load" Ammunition! "Tumbling" Bullets are inherently inaccurate!

Hm, maybe I should have used expanding or hollow-point, mushroom on contact instead of tumble style bullets in my previous post. Police here are required to use this type ammunition to qualify to carry. In any case the hollow point bullet leaves a larger hole if it does exit body mass, but it doesn't have much energy left after that.
Growing in popularity with some police here is the Mi-bullet or multiple impact bullet, expands into four interconnected parts as it exits the barrel, improving accuracy.
Al Sharpton will attend Monday White House civil rights meeting as White House proposes $263 million plan to put body-worn cameras in police departments and reviews police 'militarization'
it would be great if charlatan would do his freddies fashion mart shtick/routine while at the big white traylor, think anybody knows what I am talking about? show him for what he is?
