StandardsFirst: What do you think of scary movies.Read recently that is you don't suffer from certain types of anxiety they can even be good for your state of mind. I know I feel more alert after, appreciate the good in my life I DO have, appreciate lives I have around me I care for, and feel more empathy for people who go through scary times (even if far less bad) because I picture what they MAY have went through if similar in any way at all. Sometimes I feel more patient and then more bonded with people (at least temporarily) afterwards,too.
I love them and I'm not scared at all

I love thrillers, horror, suspense movies...all the edge of your seat stuff is my kinda movie.

Recently watched a satanic creepy one which was almost too strange.I would be embarrassed watching it with my parents..cause so strange.Had lots of torture,too..and creepy the way a few kids were sickos in it..and so cold. They took adults and tortured and had them undressed and washed them hard and rough in a tub as they spoke to them like THEY were little kids(as they shook with fear) and later tied by a table and laughed as the table burned and then the adults did .. and screamed as the kids sat there staring at them at the table.WEIRD one. Many scary stories are gory, but quick anyway, and also don't have lots of it at least or the longer torture(if at all).

I got it free from the library.Called "Dark Touch" Was well-done for that KIND and not boring.I wanted to see what would happen next and things looked real..not like cheap,silly ones.

The last one I saw was Karrie . Quite good actually , I thought it was was going to be a turn down. They did even a prank on it , turned out one the best .

....all the blood and guts stuff is a major yawn, unless its played for laughs, the black night in monty pythons 'holy grail' film is a perfect example of gore for fun sake....
stuff that makes my skin crawl would be psychological drama, and some of it seems pretty innocuous on the face of it, but the message that people can have untapped reserves of evil and can unleash it at a moments notice has a far more unsettling effect than any gorefest....

Im the biggest chicken in the whole entire world!!!!
I don´t dare to watch any horror movie by myself... I need my hubby /brother/mom around to be able to do it...because afterwards I have NIGHTMARES!!
Im 34... and still get nightmares after watching anything scary!!
And most of it, it´s because of this guy...I saw it when I was 9 years old and since then... I HATE CLOWNS and can´t stand watching horror movies.
