Just a thought--if you already have a landline you're happy with, see if they offer an auxiliary phone, mobile or cell, etc... and quite often the addition isn't nearly as much. (They give you a huge break for having two accounts with them. Also, you can blend the accounts, which usually gets a discount because of less paperwork/postage for them. For example, my former landline offered a cell phone that would have cost about $70.00 a month. Adding it on, same minutes, features, etc...was $22.00. For my personal phones, I tend to just upgrade my phones when the contracts allow me to. Currently have a S5.
My works one is a Blackberry Passport. Strange phone, but I've gotten used to it and may get one for personal use later.
