I don't have enough details and I doubt anyone here has the relevant insider knowledge. A democratic and judicial court will decide that on the evidence produced though, yet again, even if innocent the media are acting as judge and jury, it would seem.

It's so true it is a difficult charge remain silent. Although it was not the news media as 26 women came forward..... 26 whose only link is their interaction with him.

His past behavior dragged him through the mud of public opinion. If he was an ordinary white comedian - no one would have a problem with believing it might have occurred. He is a very, very good actor to have fools his fans for so long.

except in a civil court where it is the preponderance of the evidence. He is not being charged criminally so far - civil lawsuit is filed I believe.

Don't you think it is really an indicator of our time and age?

Anyone has access to so many varieties of media and knowledge (on how to do things).... so as we (humans) are telling our stories that reach more than just our immediate families or our doctors or priests (or other spiritual leader), it becomes a social issue and discussion. Of course privacy rights were greater before the new access to tweet, Facebook, talk shows, radio shows, blogs, interviews for blogs, gossip etc.

I think historically most of the "stars" had public relations agents who were very good at spinning the right story or hiding the wrong story on behalf of their clients. Journalists and gossip columnists and other media folk in earlier days knew that a story, depending on the star or the power behind the star to do for or against their own career.

Now, information is leaked in so many ways. People are speaking out in so many different ways electronically.
