I've stopped smoking cigarettes for over 2 months, and using an e-cig helped me stay away from them. I don't use it often, but always have it with me, just in case I get an urge to smoke. When I inhale from it, I no longer think of smoking a regular cigarette.
I don't want the taste of tobacco, so I use the flavored cartridges, which helps keep cigarettes off of my mind.

They make me cough. Go figure. However I do carry mine in my handbag, just in case I'm, I don't know, stuck in an elevator for 3 hours or something.
I once took it out when a meeting had run more than an hour over allotted time and took a few puffs. Worked like a charm but I was not loved by the dweeb who had been rabbiting on, and on, and on, and holding us all up.
I couldn't vote as there was no option for people who smoked both regular and e-cigs.

Viv, you can vote on my poll, 2nd entry says yes, I smoke both e-cig and regular cigarettes.
Seems the dweeb didn't like your attention being put on something besides his rabbiting, or that you had a way to escape him. lol
pedalguy59: I misread, I thought it was regular Cigs. I'm addicted, but would like to try E Cigs.
E-cigs are definitely worth a try. They can help a lot of people cut down on the number of regular cigarettes they smoke, and some convert over to only smoking E-cigs.

E-cigs don't have the carbon monoxide, tar and toxins that smoking tobacco does. Google online about what is known about e-cigs. youtube has a lot of videos interviewing doctors who all say e-cigs are safe and a lot better choice than regular cigarettes.

I am thinking of trying them, right now I smoke half a Cig at a time, 15 a day.
i've been on and off e-cigs for years now. i have just started using one again to help me cut down on my smoking. my goal is to replace smoking with vaping.

Here are some videos from youtube about the e-cigarette for people who don't know exactly what they are, and doctors and specialists all agree they are a lot safer than tobacco regular cigarettes, and are effective in stopping smoking entirely.

Just copy/paste the url links into your address bar if you're interested in watching the videos. The automatic links didn't work, I think because of the s in the http, idk!
taira6: i smoke regular cigarettes and just started smoking an e cigarette just at work
It would be great if you could switch over to e-cigs all the time. They are actually cheaper. No carbon monoxide, tar and toxins, plus if you wanted to quit smoking entirely, e-cigs are much easier way to do so!

I wish you success in converting over entirely to vaping. It should be easy if you can find the flavors you like. Do you like the taste and flavor of the tobacco, or other flavors, vanilla, clove, etc.?

What is the point for using e-cigs and why even call using them smoking?
yep e cig from oct 1, 2014...they do help stop smoking, i was a heavy smoker...almost 4 months and from jan 1, 2015 i barely smoke even e cig.....but i will be honest on a night out i puffff
galrads: What is the point for using e-cigs and why even call using them smoking?
The point in using e-cigs is it has a lot of advantages which smoking regular cigs don't. It doesn't create smoke, only a water vapor which dissipates immediately, and usually isn't noticeable, plus it doesn't leave any odor. For this reason, the smoker can smoke (vape) inside their home, public places, including work places.
For health concerns, the vaper doesn't take in carbon monoxide, tar and toxins which they do when smoking regular cigs. They are actually cheaper in price than regular cigs.
You're right, smoking may no longer be an accurate reference to them, the new reference is called 'vaping'

Congrats!!!! almost 4 months without smoking regular cigs is a very long time. Is really good you are almost off the e-cigs too. Is very wise to always have e-cigs with you though, in case you feel you need something, is better to inhale from an e-cig than a real one.

pedalguy59: You folks are inspiring me, thank you.
So glad we are inspiring smokers to try to switch over. Is much healthier way to deal with smoking habit. Creating this Poll and receiving all this feedback is helping me too, verifying that the e-cig continues to work in the long run.

Thanks, you live in a beautiful State by the way, very cycling friendly.

Yes it is cycling friendly and just about any kind of sports friendly too. Also, dog, cat, horse, etc. friendly, but lots of mountain lions and bears roaming around here freely than can create a hazard.

thankyou
i prefer the tobacco flavor. (have tried a few flavors)
