Since everyone is safe, I suppose I should go back and put on some pants

Been thinking about this for the last few hours now, walking around, looking. There's plenty of stuff but I don't see anything of value that would make me run back into a high risk burning building. While I would miss certain things, items that could never be replaced, items that would take lots of effort and time to reacquire, it all seems so futile this need and want for material. The only items I could think of is pure practical, I grab my bag of camping gear. That's housing and multitude of sins catered for. But I wouldn't risk my life for it. In the past through different circumstances I lost it all before. At the time some of it seemed like the proverbial end of the world. With hindsight it was like a major spring clean that changed one's view of what is important in life. Materials it is not.Not even the items of sentimental value. (they are only reminders of the sentiment anyway) Some of those things make life easier but most of it is meaningless ball and chain clutter.
oh, one thing, I would try and run outside with is my spectacles. Anything within an 8ft radius and I'm blind as a bat
