Of course two of the many brands available in the US you don't mention are Estes and Razorback.
I have one of each and I find them good at light stuff, splitting and trimming, buit of course for the serious trees of 2 or more feet of girth the double headed broader blade of the Hudson Bay cuts much faster.
CuddlingSoul: Don't have a favorite axe, but the 'Camp Saw' has saved my butt more than once. Great for cutting a path when the woods are too thick to swing a tool.
I have an Ibanez AF75 Artcore that has on of those inexplicably rich tones that you find in a guitar on occasion...it plays way above it's pay grade. It even makes me sound good
I'm also partial to a couple of old Harmony archtops that I've found for the same reason, great blues and jazz boxes.
