My mother chose to baptize me in Catholic faith as a child.
But once I reached adulthood I felt I didn't need religion in my life.
My mother provided me with the tools of life to work with and I chose to use them.
I know the difference between right from wrong and how to be a good person without having someone standing at their bully pulpit telling me how to conduct myself on this earth.

Rimi123: Want to people opinion about god and soul
I can't say if spirituality has something to do with God and soul,, By the way,, you should have written the word "god" with a capital G, as a sign of respect.

. Respect to what, an imaginary being? That's ridiculous. Tooth fairy, Easter rabbit, Santa Claus, the giant pumpkin. You believe in them too? Couple o beers and I can make up somebody else for you to believe in!

So it has nothing to do with proper English as to the matter of respect, it's just a matter of whether you think something fictitious should be respected. As I originally thought, just telling people how they should behave, and what to say, as per usual.
If you want to play mother hen, get some eggs out of your fridge and sit on the couch and brood.
