Meanwhile at the Windows 10 factory:

Not so long ago i purchased refurbished with back to factory defaults Toshiba L650 Win 7 Professional 64 bit installed, which i managed to mess up by putting my older Win 7 Premium image on it...errr didn't workout was nothing illegal on image but bios had Win Pro code in so came up non genuine errr

Ok my work around, purchased Win 7 Pro 64 bit sort of disk off eBay, that on install allows you to enter the code found on back of your laptop which is then consistent with the code in the bios, then as i had also purchased latest 2015 DriverPack Solution Professional disk and updated all the Drivers.
Once that been completed turn off Windows Update, turned off Windows security, Windows firewall and disabled those in Systems as i no longer allow windows update. (indeed i think if you allowed Windows Update to install Sp2 you'll likely already have Windows 8-1 installed tut tut = Win 10 bound up in time)...scold

Ok but being a slow learner i soon observed having proper 64 bit system, which is different to 32 - 64 bit system. Slow learner worked out either because 64 bit system my Xerox Laser Printer driver only installed part of the printers ability, enter new Oki LED Printer (very nice), also worked out programs like True Home Image backup, Kaspersky Anti-virus required Sr1 patching, piss off bill Gates an't easy by by True Image Home and by by Kaspersky.
Fully installed all four disks of my legal copy of Office 2000 Premium, as that program is most comprehensive Office suit Microsoft ever released has more Office programs than any other available program period. As i have copy of Office 2000 Premium Sp1, Sp2 and Sp3 patches naturally I fully patched my office suit and Win Pro runs it in the Windows 2000 mode it was made to run in...laugh

Using Chrome and Firefox and was pleased to see in Add remove Windows features i could turn Internet Explorer off... scold

Work around, enter Macrium Reflect and Outback Plus 9 backup programs, replaced Kaspersky with Spybot, + SecureAnywhere, + SUPERAntiSpyware Professional and more recently, for proper firewall protection free version of ZoneAlarm.

anyway that's what i've done and all works ok

No I haven't tried Windows 10 cause I've heard to many complaints about it.

I've used to Windows 7 and I'm sticking with it.
