Boosting her esteem off you and then re-marrying to the man immediately available is weak. A confidence vampire, another weak-willed woman leeching off the strength of others. Not having a go. The nature of woman is to support a man to be the best he can be so she can shine in his reflected glory(and feed her offspring). Yet amongst the fallen women of today the support side of her nature is enfeebled, and the dependent/parasite side stands double.

It is beyond me why someone would want to go out with someone whom is married or not single

Things can happen. We're only human. It depends on the individual circumstances. But I would avoid getting involved with someone who's got a girlfriend/wife/partner as much as possible. I wouldn't want the hurt caused to the other female on my conscience. No thanks!

In my situation, he was the first man I ever really opened up completely to. He was the first man I ever allowed myself to truly trust - he took on that herculean task of teaching me to trust again. OP. No, Hell No.

In the physical sense, there might be tell tale signs like you mentioned. For me personally, I sense a certain air about them...subtle things that maybe has more to do with myself being a sensitive.

Oh, there's some real crafty people out there for sure but I've become quite crafty at skepticism too. It's a gift and a curse.

The stinging kiss syndrome? I don't know, I'd like to remain more optimistic and give the benefit of doubt a chance. I still remain hopeful even while I continue to carry old battle scars.
