No, I was requested to ask this question....St.Peter simulates prospective statistics
And seriously: Do you really find nanotechnology and cybernetics to be the f i c t i o n? Today lots of us to save their lives - are cyborgs in a part....and in time there will not be a problem to "retool" everything in us. So I find my question to be the real, future choice...but as always only for the very rich ones.

True dat. Soldiers who lost their legs and got those robotic parts look like the Terminator.
It is nice to see what mankind already achieved to prolong life. But eternal live ??(if it exists! Even a universum dies!). I do not believe our brain can stand a eternal live the way it is designed now. It is a result of natural evolution (by thousands of years). It will never succeed to adapt as fast as our technology evolves. it even limits technological innocations! I believe it will not be able to copy a eternal life. Therefore it is to limited. Loast but not least, besides all our achievements, who can assure that our species will not destroy itself sooner or later??
GUZMAN1: None of my appliances has been "immortal" until now.
Some say that them are planned for obsolescence.
Lucky You! Firstly because you have nothing artificial still in yourself (if I understand well ) Secondly you are young enough in order to take advantage of new opportunities and chances.

Perhaps I am wrong but how it is possible to create the excellent artificial brain as the substitute, not knowing all functions of the original.

Joola: the Soul is immortal it just happens to be experiencing human life in a physical body and is in fact so much more that this physical existence.
immortality as a cyborg? From my perspective is the eternal imprisonment of a limitless soul and makes no sense all in fact a kind of Hell
It is nice to believe in an immortal soul. But who says it exists? Only we , humans! Why? Because we are aware of our existence and its limitations. This causes a scaring feeling we want to avoid at any cost. Solutions: a belief in a soul or efforts to create a cyborg world and other science fiction or... We must learn to be humble again and get rid of our limitless arrogance that makes us believe we are almigthy. Because we are not!! Our species lives under the curse of its brain!!
