You met someone who makes the world sparkle a little, and everything is just rosy. No major faults at all, you're a great match, you WANT this to be right, you ignore the first few things that bug you, but sooner or later one thing - often tiny - is too much. What's the final straw?
I know the options are silly. They've all been final straws for some, though.

When you are out shopping & she takes a more than passing interest at the ring section of a jewellery store, that always brings me out in a cold sweat

Sheesh. Women like diamonds. They're our best friends. I love window-shopping jewellery but have learned to walk briskly past when I'm with a fella, even a friend.
You're gonna stay single forever, mate, if you come out in a cold sweat at even the possibility that a woman wants you long-term.

I doubt they'll ever be a shortage of women. Besides, marriage doesn't always mean eternally together as you well know

7 billion people on the planet, roughly half of them female? No, never a shortage!
Women you want to spend time with? Maybe not running into millions, but enough to see you out ... so with you, not a question of realizing it isn't going to work, it never was intended to. That's your turn up, darlin', hope you enjoyed the ride, tell yer friends?

they're real life things that can put you off someone. Simple answer is don't start it! Not worth the bother of putting up with said options!
Can't really think of anything that would be the final straw after all I would have vowed to accept them the way they are faults and all and not throw away a perfectly good relationship.
After awhile Bed hogging would bother me.Solution:I'd just invest in another bed.

Yikes, bed hogging should have been an option, it is sooooooo annoying! I was really talking about new relationships, though, when the first gloss is wearing off and you find it isn't going to stay the distance.

Elegs I was speaking of a new formed relationship too but I still wouldn't throw it all away.
Now if they were verbally/physically abusive then they would gone in a heart beat.

If I was with someone who was a great match, we both want it to work and there's no major faults? I wouldn't bother with picking apart the small stuff and that most certainly would not be any deal breaker.
It's hard enough as it is trying to find someone who's a great match AND having no major faults at all. Finding someone like that is most definitely a keeper! I want one!
The final straw would be cheating, and that would be a major fault causing the deal breaker. End of.

I'm glad you ladies are starting to realise that you taking 4/5 of the bed is very annoying

when i realized a few months into it he caused my heart more angst than happiness...
I think the toothpaste thing is definately a deal breaker!
Seriously though, I think the final straw is when you wake up one morning and realise it's not going to work long term regardless of the fact so much is good and the match is right.
Take Eva Gardiner and Frank Sinatra, a match made in heaven but they couldnt get it together.

Buy the plastic tubes. They jump back into shape. Who knows how many relationships have been rescued by a simple repackaging?
Knowing its not going to work before you even think it will or could , I would not have to worry about any deal breakers ,
The options are not silly when you know of so many more , so how about not finding a partner that to me is the first one no others matter , end of, simple really .
