hey it looks like your music category is limited i think if this is a world wide site then you need to give people a broader range not just stick to what is yours and what you know. i am from the caribbean and am sure i am not the only caribbean person on this site. we love all kinda a music and support all but what about us we have soca, reggae zouk chutney just to name a few should we not be in this category, and don't tell me you don't know this music that is not an excuse, there is a reason why they call this WWW. the world wide web.

I enjoy a wide variety of music, and in recent years have got into Asian Pop. The South Koreans have probably been making the best Pop music in the world in recent years in my opinion...
Dislike 99% of Hip Hop / Rap though ... especially Gangsta Rap ...

You should listen to X-Japan! They are amazing &, if you don't like anything hard they do some great ballad stuff, like "Forever Love," "Crucify My Love," & "Endless Rain." Too bad about their lead guitarist, Hide´, tho... Toshiki, the pianist/percussionist studied classical music; & the lead singer, Toshi, is a dynamic & emotional vocalist. You can feel the passion in their music. Wish I could have seen them live last year in N.Y.!

There's a number of other interesting Japanese artists worth mentioning, like "BABYMETAL", "Perfume", "Giselle4" and "Sakura Gakuin", just to name a few off hand. But for me, it's South Korea which is the shining light of Asian Pop, with all girl group Multiple Award winners "T-ARA" being my favourites by a long way ... . Others i like include "Girls' Generation, 2NE1, 4MINUTE, Orange Caramel" and the list goes on... As for boy groups, "Big Bang" as well as others are making inroads into the world scene.

I recently discovered J-Pop and K-Pop. I love it! For J-Pop, my favorite is BABYMETAL. Love their Give Me Chocolate video. I love the androgynous look of the K-Pop boy bands.
The music I've loved for years is Symphonic Goth Metal. Bands such as Apocalyptica, Night Wish, Within Temptation, Epica, Leaves' Eyes, Delain, Lacuna Coil, etc.
