You ARE betraying him but not telling him what she is doing.
Turn it around and ask yourself if you would want him to tell you that your girlfriend was hitting on him.

So? If the going get's tough and involves your friend you would consider running away? Look, the woman in my life IS my friend,....and I have other friends,....and friends are just as important (almost) as family? I hate to be crass,...but just by stating that this is a dilemma to you suggests you are thinking about crawling into bed with her.....or am I wrong? If not,...then your path is clear!

This has been my observation since high school, and I am nearing 60: After I settled in suburban Portland, and began working in my profession, I met a lady and we hit it off, very much so. Now, I had not been particularly popular, but did have a few friends. My romantic life had been sketchy, almost non-existent. Many good looking women around Beaverton and Hillsboro knew me and liked me, but that was where it ended. Well let me tell you - once it got around that I had fallen in love with this gal, (and she was quite nice, and for the first time in my life I felt a part of it all and I loved her dearly, too,) I couldn't keep ladies OFF me. I am not kidding. The interest was so keen it caused a few problems with my relationship. I was never so popular as when I became unavailable. Women are intensely competitive; they want what they shouldn't want and what it seems like they can't have. Many lives have been shattered by this.
